Oakland Mall Gives Back
|

TROY, MICHIGAN, Oakland
Mall prides itself in giving back to the community in which it is a
part. On Thursday, July 24th at 10 am Oakland Mall will present
Children’s Miracle Network, part of the Beaumont Foundation, with a
check for $8,500. The money was raised from sales of butterfly kits
during the butterfly exhibit held at the mall. Since the event began in
2004, Oakland Mall has raised over $41,000 for Children’s Miracle
Network. Every
spring the Butterflies Exhibit is held at the Oakland Mall and shoppers
are encouraged to welcome in spring with a visit. The exhibit includes
a butterfly house free to visitors, along with the opportunity to take
the experience home and watch the miracle of metamorphosis with an
“Adopt-A-Butterfly” kit. The net proceeds raised through the sale of
the kits will brighten the lives of the local kids at Beaumont
Children’s Hospital.
